My name is Dorothy Matsumura. I was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. My maternal family is from Cuba, NM. My paternal family is from the New England area and Jemez Pueblo.  My grandfather, Dr. Joe Sando was a pueblo historian and author of 6 books, detailing the history of pueblos and people of the southwest. Roman Holmes--7th/8th Grade Indigenous Historytimes
My name is Roman Holmes and I will be the 7th/8th grade Social Studies teacher this school year. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity NACA has provided me, and my most sincere hope is that your child will enjoy the engaging, relevant, and rigorous I look forward to providing. Of similar importance is the relationship I look forward to developing with your child as their teacher and biggest fan.
This is my 15th year in education. Thirteen of those years were spent in the Arabian Gulf between Kuwait and Bahrain where I taught and was a assistant principal at a private American/International schools. Being from Albuquerque, it is great to be back and NACA is a big part of that.
