Diane Willie--6th/7th Grade Native Literature arial

Diane Willie is a 6th/7th grade Native Literature teacher. She graduated from Haskell Indian Nations University and Kansas University with a degree in Education.  She has pursued graduate studies in English (Creative Writing) and Education.  She is from the Navajo tribe of New Mexico and her favorite authors are Leslie Marmon Silko and Louise Erdrich.

Morgan Barraza (Akimel O'odham/Kawaikameh/ Thai) teaches for justice and liberation. She seeks to support students in "reading the world" and discovering their unlimited gifts and potential. She believes a decolonized education should include our history of resistance, a commitment to all oppressed and colonized peoples, and a reconnection to land and spirit. Along with her students, she is reclaiming ceremony and her Indigenous languages. She is also a wife and mother of two young children and Akita rescueShe holds a B.A from Columbia University, Ed.M from Harvard University, and is pursuing a Ph.D in Education.
