Mrs. Henrietta Bubernak--6th/7th Math

Henrietta is a member of the Navajo Tribe—she is of the Red House Clan born for the Salt Clan.  She is originally from Shiprock, NM but has resided in Albuquerque for the last thirty years.  Henrietta received her bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of New Mexico and has her master's degree in education from the University of Phoenix.  She holds a NM teacher license for K-8 and has taught both in elementary and middle school levels.  During her 14 years of teaching, she has had the privilege of being a mentor teacher, a lead teacher, and a science coordinator.  Henrietta believes our native youth should have every opportunity to experience a well-balanced and well-informed education both academically and culturally.  In addition to academics and culture, Henrietta supports NACA's core values and will concentrate on perseverance with her students this academic year.  Teaching students that not giving up easily when presented with a problem is a great way to build character and solve problems with everyday obstacles.  She has dedicated her career to help support native students to embrace and practice their culture while preparing them academically for success.

Mr. Manuel Rodriguez--7th Adv Math/8th Grade MathTimes

This will be my 5th year teaching and my 1st year at NACA.
I have lived my whole life here in Albuquerque, NM. I love the diversity and cultural immersion here too much ever to leave. I am looking forward to calling NACA my home and family.
