Mr. Rosette

Hello, I am Mr. Rosette and I am the Elementary Head of School.  I am a Chippewa-Cree tribal member from Rocky Boy, Montana. I started my teaching career in 2005 as an 3rd grade teacher in Phoenix, Arizona and after that, I moved back home to Montana to become a 2nd grade teacher at the public school that educated me, Box Elder Public Schools.  In 2011, my family and I moved to Albuquerque, where I became the Dean of Students for high school students at NACA.  Fast forward to 2015, I was tasked with establishing NACA Elementary as a way to better connect with our community and offer something different for our families living in the Albuquerque area.  We started with Kindergarten and 1st grade in the fall of 2016 and have added a grade level every year since then.  I love the work I am involved with and I love building positive relationships with our community, students, and staff.

My learning adventure started in the Box Elder Public School system for my Kindergarten through 12th grade education.  Then, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education as well as a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Montana.  While working at NACA, I earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico.  Currently, I am the final stages of earning my Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico.

My wife, Sophia and I, have 4 children, Rebecca, Aidan, Claire and Beau.  As a family, we like to be involved and active in our community here in Albuquerque by participating in sporting events, school events, and outdoor activities.  We travel back to Montana twice a year to visit family and participate in cultural activities.  Community is very important to our family and that is why we love NACA!
