Out-of-School
Time Program Manager
The Native American Community Academy is seeking
a full time out-of-school time program manager.
This individual will be responsible for overseeing
the daily implementation of the afterschool
program. He/she will supervise the afterschool
program staff/volunteers and guide the development
of the afterschool program structure and curriculum
as well as building quality program best practices.
Applicant should have a strong understanding
of positive youth development principles and
practices, and experience with youth program
management, classroom management, and experiential
learning of middle school aged youth are all
a plus. A Bachelors degree is preferred or a
solid combination of experience and college
courses.

Native American
Community Academy
The Native American Community Academy (NACA)
is a new public charter school in Albuquerque
, New Mexico for 6th to 12th grade students,
located at 1100 Cardenas SE, in the heart of
the Southeast Heights . NACA is a small school
and will serve 220 students in 2008-2009 at
grades 6th -9th.
Our school’s underlying philosophy will
be to nurture relationships and integrate Native
perspectives to connect students and their cultures.
We will prepare our students to grow from adolescence
to adulthood and begin strengthening communities
by developing strong leaders -- teachers, physicians
and business owners who will be prepared to
embrace their future and sustain their identities,
culture and traditions.
NACA Mission
To engage students, educators, families, and
community in creating a school that will prepare
our students to grow from adolescence to adulthood
and begin strengthening communities by developing
strong leaders who are academically prepared,
secure in their identity and healthy.
NACA currently has a small staff of 15 and partners
with four community organizations and non-profit
organizations that serve diverse students and
communities. NACA is an amazing opportunity
for educators and community members who want
to make a difference and work in an innovative
setting.
